..... that Kirk Ferentz is going to be 70yrs old this year. It's just baffling after knowing he was relatively young when he took over the Hawkeye program. He's still in great shapes. Just hard to believe.

Didn't mean to turn this thread dark, but yes...

Time is the great equalizer. Which is why we shouldn't waste any of it being mad if the Hawks lose :)

Your youngest is 18 with a fake?
I mean we had fakes back in the day. Get someone who kind of looks like you gives you there ID. It's totally rampant now as the kids just upload a pic of themselves to a website and have one sent to them in the mail. Pretty much every freshman in college has one now.

My first DL didn’t even have a picture. It seems primitive by today’s standards but it was easy to get served.

My kids never needed fakes, if they wanted an adult beverage they just had to ask dad for it. My only rule is it had to be in my own home and they couldn't drive. My youngest and I have a beer together every Friday night.

Maybe not the best way to parent but to this day none of my kids ever had issues with alcohol. When I was a kid if my parents told me I couldn't have something it just made me want it more.

This is exactly how my wife and I did it. We never hid alcohol and never treated it as a big deal but it was something that did have rules around it. Both my kids are out of the house and have no issues with alcohol and really don't drink much
