I am just beyond disappointed

We are a Big Ten school, with big ten money, big ten stadium, big ten football practice fields outdoor/indoor,big ten recruiting budgets,big ten TV all over the nation, we have a coach making more than all mac coaches combined---and we have a crap program. Did anyone see our big ten defensive line blow those small school offensive linemen up? With all our resources how can NIU beat us? How can missouri state hang closer to us than we will be able to hang with ohio state or anyone in the upper division? Why would we ever have to accept even one two star recruit? Why does it seem that UNI ALWAYS has better WR's than Iowa? Why does Barta still have a job--iowa is dead last in presidents cup rankings in the big ten --year after year after year? Coaching does make a difference---look at the time Fran and staff spend on recruiting and building relationships. I think maybe both Barta and Kirk need to go. Kirk should just retire and not have us waste money buying him out. If he is not beyond super rich by now then he is as bad at investments as he is coaching. I am not going to read your comments so save it.

Yep, Kirk should just retire. He should just say "I don't like money and if coralville on HN doesn't want to pay my buyout, I will just walk away without it."
 
I understand why you are disappointed, but anybody that follows Iowa Football should not be surprised at what's going on. It's been going on for a long time.

We have no desire to find another team to root for. The hawks are our team. That's why what's going on right now hurts so much. We'd like this program to get turned around. We simply don't believe that kf will ever be able to do that.

I personally don't have a problem with people wanting more of their team. I don't care for the ones that come into the room and stomp their feet like babies because its not happening fast enough. Furthermore, pointing to issues that aren't issues (the d-line play or why we lost to NIU-which I think will proven to be a good team).

I also think there's been some really positive things that past two weeks that could give even the most netative of Negative Nancys a reason to be hopeful.

Fair enough, but the team has lost to a MAC team, and struggled with a bad d-1aa team. This indicates a structural problem within the program. While you may be right that there are positives, they are low on the totem pole to most folks when the team exhibits that they have big time problems as evidenced by the last two games.

Give it a rest, Freed. Ferentz's teams have had plenty of struggles in the first few weeks and then come back to dominate as the season wears on. This team reminds me a lot of the 2004 team that dropped a few early and then went on a long winning streak.

I don't think KF is trying to troll anybody. I think he is honestly doing what he thinks is the best way to do things.

One of KF's signature phrases is, "he gives us the best chance to win."
Epic Irony Alert: KF himself does not give Iowa the best chance to win. A lot of us hope Barta feels the same way and takes action.
 
I agree. Go find a new team. Sure I want to win, but quite franky I like being a hawk more than I like to win. A lot of lurkers that don't choose to post feel the same way. I like KF and think he is a class act. 4 top 10's earns a lot of leeway with me. Many of us know a player or two,past or present, and attended school in Iowa City. These players and coaches want to win worse than you do. Go Hawks!
