Just consider how far the circa 2002 Captain Kirk has fallen in the eyes of our fan base to now be referred to as Corporal Kurt.

Kirk has proven that he's a winner. Think of Pete Carroll, who is a lot like Kirk. Like Kirk, he had some dominant title contenders and then hit a down patch. Now he's kicking *** with the Seahawks. Maybe some pro teams think the same thing about Kirk.

No similarities whatsoever....PC was a head coach in the NFL and won a title and competed for titles at USC. No pro teams in their right mind see KF in that way.

Oh ghost you know kf would never intentionally put a player in the hospital. That just wasn't a good effort by you at all. You can do better. Just take the day of big guy.

People who evaluate and pick coaches look at wins and losses but they also look beyond that. Everyone knows that great talent makes coaches look great. I don't know enough about football to tell everyone exactly what those who evaluate coaches do look at but it's clear that is not just about W-L record

bingo. It's about philosophies and strategy and Kirk is a great football mind. Iowa's not the easiest place to win and yet Kirk has been successful. He loves it here. If he had the resources of an NFL team or an elite college team he would be Pete Carroll or better.
