I think many people never expected to see Tucker play again for Iowa. I didnt. I dont put that on Lickliter. They gave him another chance.
With regards to Brommer, he was a part of their first real recruiting class. He has not played much and that is a coaching decision. IF he should decide to leave after this year, then it didnt work out. Transfers are a part of sports and they certainly accompany coaching changes that bring in new philosophies. Some players don't pan out the way you think they might. That happens.
Here is the thing; Lickliter is going to get a 4th year. I have no doubt about that, unless for whatever reason Todd doesn't want it, and I don't see that happening. I think it's likely he gets a year five.
So we can sit around and ***** about it every day on the boards, or we can wait and see what the new crop of players does to the players that will be back and what kind of team they can have. NIT would be awesome, though I would not expect it. NCAA in year five would be a must.
I only type this because I have put myself through the same filter.
Are we not on pace now Jon to start losing schoolarships now because of all the players not graduating. Maybe I miss understand the rules but, I thought a few years ago the NCAA made a rule that a certain percentage of your players must graduate over a few year average or you start to lose schoolarships. I thought that transfers counted against this.
