Why, when Ryan Hoag, the guy in the slick suit comes on, do I feel like I am sitting on the city council somewhere and he is going to try and pitch me on giving him a liquor license for his strip club? Or sell me shares in a time share?

I would be amazed this video brought in any business with how poorly it is done. While it may be a good idea, they get an F in presentation. 1st Semester Broadcast students could tell you to move your talent away from the backdrop, add some back light to bring out the separation between the two, and wear contrasting colors to the back ground. If they do that bad with the basics, how will they do with the tough part?
 


I don't think you're allowed to pass straight from the huddle. Someone tell Gerg.

Edit: hey would I be a bad person to crack on their production values? Hoag's suit doesn't fit right, and someone tell him not to look away from the camera. Lighting was poor on the players. And get some concealer over the zit on Crouch's forehead. Jeez.

I didn't make it through the Eric Crouch segment.... god awful. WE want to...do the things...that are things...the you will benefit from our... experiences in the huddle being players...so we can give back ...and ...things you may not have heard before...when you heard things... about the game we played...when we were players..and

I'll give it a shot for a few minutes. If this is an indication of what we can expect during the season, it could be worth a few chuckles.

Ryan Hoag seems like he should be doing another kind of low production quality video with a cheesy soundtrack if you know what I mean;).

Just like bloviating sports opinions, that market has been jammed with a bunch of low quality free content that has ruined any possible profit and it might have been a profitable idea 10 years ago.

And they chose to open and close with Eric Crouch. EC was not very comfortable on camera, and looked like he had a massive wound on his forehead.

I hope their product is better than their sales pitch. That 14 year old wearing the Sonny Crockett blazer is not a slick as he thinks he is.
