Hubbard to Wichita State

And he will probably have a solid 2 year career there with better odds of seeing the NCAA than any his former teammates. We on the other hand will go into the season with no backup PG and or driver / slasher. I didn't think WSU had spots left, thus no interest in Olaseni. Whatever.

We sure could use some good news on the recruiting front. Following the coaching staff's recruiting achievements is about as fun as watching cars rust or corn grow. The Gesell and Woodbury situatioin is not a make or break situation but if it don't pan out then it could get real ugly on the hawkeye forums real soon. In my opinion if we have to get only one of the two it would be best that we get Woodbury. If we get Gesell and not Woodbury there will be some mighty unhappy campers in here. However a Woodbury pick up would make losing Gesell a lot easier to swallow. It would do wonders for Hawkeye morral to get them both and then people would just forget the Hubbard thing and let it rest. If we lose both Ges and Wood then the Hub thing isn't going away soon.

Hey it's IOWA BB.

Wichita State will go on to dominate the MVC with AH.

IOWA will be 2nd best for G who goes to Kansas and Wood to UNC. (They will mention how tough it was for them to leave their home state at the signing press conference)

All 3 programs will enjoy being at the Final Four over the next two years.

The Hawkeye BB program will survive and plow on... make progress...

and the woulda, coulda, shoulda... will become our motto.

Like I said in the other thread, there is always a chance after he played against these guys, that he realized his chance of making the NCAA's at Iowa were slim at best.

WSU has a much clearer road.

Better wear a rain coat. Wichita is not a place to make mistakes.

1. You're a ******

2. Wich St isn't exactly a hot bed for NCAA talent. They have made the NCAA tournament one time in the past 10 years. Just to compare. As bad as we've been over the past 10 yrs, we've made it twice.

The kid f'd up and nobody is willing to admit it as it would be a black eye on the program and Fran. The program is taking a 'nothing to see here, just move along' approach and it backfired.

Yeah, you are probably right. The whole thing is just so freaking blurry. I was just throwing out another possibility. Albeit, I know it is far fetched.

By hey, every other speculation seems far fetched as well.

I mean WSU only won 25 games in 2009-10 and 29 games in 2010-11, with an NIT Championship.

So, they basically suck.

Right now, wsu is the better team

next year, WSU might well be the better team.

I used to work with a guy who coached ABA, American U, and at the local U where Gregg Marshall was for a few years. I wanted Iowa to get Marshall a few years ago, but he didn't want to swap WSU for the UI job.

I think WSU is the better situation for Hubbard. Weaker conference, winning team, different social environment (out of the small town Iowa City fishbowl).

Not saying this isn't going to happen, but I've gone to the fan forum that last year got all excited about getting Olaseni when they thought they were in the mix and there isn't a word about Hubbard transferring there.
