Hubbard starting?

Eric May is superior to Devyn Marble in every thing except for basketball, which isn't all that important if we were playing jump rope.

Edited it for you.

Their stats were nearly identical if you compare Freshman to Freshman not Soph to Freshman. Marble WILL improve from Fresh to Soph yr. May shot 42% his soph yr and 39% from three - both better than average but outside of shooting % Marble and May had almost identical stats - rebounds, steals, blks, assts.

The one thing that May can do that most on the team can't is jump through the ceiling.

I've got a little secret to share with you, Eric May will be grade older than Marble next year too. The argument isn't whether Eric May was the better freshamn/sophmore, the argument is who's going to be better next year, and I've got my money on Eric May.

He's a better defender, a better shooter (from the field, arch, and line), he's better in transition, and he's at least a wash as a rebounder. I'm not sure what those of you who clearly place Marble ahead of him are thinking?

Apparently, Fran does not agree with you since Devyn took May's starting spot at the end of last year.

And he did nothing with it. I think he had one good game in that 5 game stretch and in the others he was a non factor.

Eric May is not good at basketball.

Dude got benched for a freshman, and not a particularly good freshman either. May is such a poor ball handler he is essentially worthless anywhere on the court except leaking out for an uncontested dunk. He can only go in one direction, can't attack the basket, and is passive.

Hubbard and Marble and White will be ahead of May at the three, Basabe, McCabe and White ahead of him at the four.

If May doesn't transfer at the end of next season, it's because he loves the Hawks, because he is getting buried by people with more eligibility remaining.

A player improves more after his freshman season, than one does after his sophomore one. Also, ball handling is important for a three, especially if a team wants to run. May kills the break, I know he can make a highlight reel uncontested dunk, but unless he is the first person down the court, he is worthless.

Unless May gets his confidence back, give me Marble. May is a better shooter, which isn't all that important if he never shoots the damn ball.
