You have to remove the OSU game from your thoughts about the season. They had the worst possible gameplay against Iowa and it may be Urban’s worst game ever.

Once KF got things turned around, we had 3 great seasons, with 2 B1G titles. And we failed to capitalize on that success and momentum.

Then he got things back on track with 2 good season in '08 and '09, with '09 damn near culminating in another B1G title. And again, he failed to capitalize on the success and momentum built up.

Finally, he seemed to get things back on track for a 3rd time in 2015 with an undefeated season and another near miss for a conference title. And once again, has failed to capitalize on that success and momentum.

The first go around was 3 seasons of success, the 2nd time was 2 seasons. This last time it was only one season. Based on this, I think he's out of successful turn arounds. I just hope he gets out or we cut bait before it truly gets to be too late...

"Wup-wup-wup-wup" "Oh, a wise guy, eh?" "Nyuck, nyuck, nyuck, nyuck".

Actually, you're right. Our offense has looked worse the last 2 games than in game #1. You can talk about execution, and that of course is part of it, but lack of execution, in massive quantities each game, is coaching.

Rob, my theory - hatched from my arm chair this evening is this. The offensive staff are not in sync. They are not coaching well. Pervasive poor execution is about coaching. I won't be surprised if 1 or more staff members depart after the season.

And I'll speculate that Brian is the reason for the poor chemistry.

Don't know how you reporters can crack this nut - probably can't but time will tell us if I'm right

"Lack of execution" is a product of so many things:

1. Inexperienced players
2. Lack of proper practice/preparation
3. Players not giving a shit/unmotivated
4. Play calls that put players in bad situations
5. Bad players

Of all the above, only one of those (#3) is completely in a player's control. The rest of them are on the coaches.

Nebraska and Iowa...two teams headed in the same direction...one looking for a new coach...the other, well, not...

Can we put to rest the myth that Iowa gets better as the season progresses? Also for a 'developmental' program with a coach in his 19th year, which is an excuse for sucking, we sure aren't developing anymore. This entire staff needs to go, period.
