I was going to re-write the classic Christmas story A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens, but with Hawkeye Football coaches past and present as the Ghost of Christmas, and metaphors for recruiting stars and bowl game invites or early draft entrees.

I don't think what Gustafson has done can be overstated. Truly remarkable player.

Players like her do not just come around very often at all, ON ANY TEAM. People need to realize how special a player they are witnessing here at Iowa in her last season. In addition, she just seems like a terrific gal and a terrific teammate. She is trying to be taken away each game plan and she still puts up gawdy numbers and percentage. Unreal!

As far as Tyler Cook, he has really taken the advice and rounded out his game nicely. I've been critical of him in the past being one-dimensional but he's expanded his game and now kicking ass and taking names. Nice to see.
