You don't know much about that history, I take it.
We had to all but threaten not to show for the game in 1990. Even then, they didn't want to come to Iowa City. Thy cancelled on us twice before.
Basically, a lot of teams think they don't have to do the "return" to Iowa City...

Missouri canceled out also. It doesn't mean you can't revisit and try to schedule a home and home again.

I'm sure they try from time to time, but would you trust Missouri after the last fiasco?

It sure doesn't hurt to look into it. I'll ask you.a question. Would you rather see Iowa play ISU or Missouri? For the record, I would like to see them alternate.
The obvious negotiating tactic here is to make sure the Tigers play at IC in the first game of the series and the second game is in Columbia. Not a guarantee they won't cancel the 2nd game but I believe that Memorial Stadium would be at capacity if the Hawkeyes were in town.I'm sure they try from time to time, but would you trust Missouri after the last fiasco?

Yeah, cuz it's so worth incurring legal fees to take a dishonorable school to court if they cite some b.s. excuse for cancelling at the last minute...
You don't really know how contracts work do you? And yes it would be worth spending a couple thousand dollars to make a few hundred thousand if not more. You're a scream. Yes, I know how contracts work. But since you claimed expertise, please enlighten us all on Contract Law. This ought to be fun.
FYI, contracts are strictly for suckers, I use 'em myself.

Stop complaining about the ISU game.
Then go and beat one of the weakest P5 teams like you're supposed to.
And then cowboy up and play a middling P5 school where you are recruiting and do a home and home every other season instead of back-to-back.
Then brag about being the one of a couple of P5 teams playing two P5 teams OOC.
Is that really too tough to handle?
