How you can tell - we aren't 'back'

I'd like to see all the years that Iowa was the best team in the B1G and a 1 or 2 seed. That seems to be crazy talk if that is what back means. Iowa was rarely there.

The last one you're wrong too. You think this team = Davis' "average teams". National talking heads think this team is elite 8. Davis' "average teams" weren't considered elite 8 teams. If they were, then he never would have been fired.

Well, most of Mr. Davis's teams (not counting the first few year's with Raveling's recruits) were typically somewhere around 5-8 seed in the NCAA Tournament team and a 2nd round loss with an occasional down year in the NIT. It's not hard to envision this team is most likely somewhere in "Mr. Davis Average" territory at present. I don't really buy the Elite 8 talk at present, although would like to be wrong.

In fact, I can see Fran having very similar results overall to Davis, if he were to be here for a decade plus, although of course, the jury is still out. A lot will obviously depend on recruiting. If Fran starts getting us to NCAA Tournaments regularly, can he start pulling in 4* (or better) recruits more consistently?

Get your NIT brackets ready folks. Other than NW, I don't see many easy wins. Every team except NW has better guards than we do and Marble and White can't carry the team. Good teams will get back on D and not give up transition baskets and our half court offense blows. Once again we have no shooters.
