How would you distribute RB carries?

IKM, Sargent, and Young are averaging around 30 combined carries per game. Obviously each game/opponent is different, but how would you distribute those 30 carries? (Forget about jet sweeps, QB keeps, FB dives, Herky/swinging gate, etc.)

I've got:
IKM: 10
Sargent: 8
Young: 12

Not being sarcastic - I'd lean on the guy who is playing the best that day. Since IKM is still the "starter", my guess is he is still seen as the best bet for that to happen, but if one of the other 2 get it going, then I'd stay with that guy.

Young the most carries based on performance.

He seems to be in the dog house for some reason and or limiting his carries for some reason beyond my understanding.

It is more a question of who goes early and who do you want at the end.

Actually all 3 backs are pretty close in height and weight. So it's a little exaggerated that Young is the "big" back. Still Young is known more for breaking tackles and IKM known more for speed.

I would start Young and have him play more in the 1Q. I would play IKM more in the 2Q and 4Q. I would play Sargent when Young and IKM need a breather.

If teams continue stacking the box, which they will, throw to the backs more. IKM is a really good receiver. Sargen’s block on the ISM touchdown was badass.

I like all three backs. I do wonder of rotating three keeps the running game from getting into a rhythm.

Put me in the camp that was curious as to why Young was MIA until the second half. I don't dislike IKM or Sargent, but it just seemed strange.

This is what I was going to piggy back on. Go empty back field and spread the field get the backs one on one. Where is the screen game? Lots of ways to get these guys touches and there are lots of ways to use the pass game as runs which is surprising we have not seen more considering how much the patriots do that.

For running back carries I think you 1. Go with who's hot. 2. Don't over work any back. 3. keep them all happy. 4. keep them healthy.

Yes would love to see them throw more to the backs swinging out of the back field or lined up as wideouts. I have been thinking this for a long time and Wadley was proof last year.

Also watching the Minny game it is easier to see and during replays that IKM and Sargent could make some cuts up the field behind the blockers rear ends to get some more yards on the outside zone type plays. Maybe the coaches will get them to cut up and get 5 yards instead of stringing it out for 2-3 yards.

Young is more of a between the tackles runner but I he is effective. Third Qtr against Wisky he was pounding out some runs and I was thinking hoping in the 4th they would run him 3 times when we had the lead or use him for play action.
