I actually think the most likely loss remaining is @ Purdue. Martinez can't beat us with his arm on Black Friday, any more than Robinson could.

I might be a little generous with the bowl slots, but it's because I think the Big10 is still getting 2 BCS teams.

At Purdue? are you kidding? Iowa stomps there.

Purdue.....Losing Record. Lost to ND by 28, Michigan by 22, and Wisconsin by 45. Only wins were middle tennessee, Southeastern Missouri State, Illinois.

They also lost to a Rice team that is horrible.

We lost to the worst division one football team since SMU came back from the death penalty. No game is a gimme.

The scenario still exists Iowa could lose at Nebraska and still be the Legends champion.

for that to happen, Michigan State would have to lose to Indiana or @ Northwestern ... I know it could happen, but not likely, IMO

@ Northwestern? With the way this season is going? I would not put that game down as a lock for MSU.

Apparently I have put on my black and gold colored glasses, because I have that weird feeling that something special is about to happen. I would be fine with 8-4, 7-5 would be somewhat of a let down, but it just felt during the Michigan game that something changed with this team. They still have a lot of flaws, but it just seemed like something different happened that could propel them to a great finish. That, and the teams we have to play are not exactly world beaters.

Iowa lost to Minnesota. They are far worse than Purdue

D**n people have a short memory. After Minnesota, there were a ton of predictions that Michigan would beat us double digits, and we might not or probably won't win another game. Now we escape with a win against Michigan and all of a sudden there's all these predictions that we win out or lose just one, possibly play for B1G championship AND win there and go to the Rose Bowl.

This win doesn't make Iowa a completely different team. I could still see them losing the rest of their games. But I could also see them winning the rest of them, but that won't be easy. I also think if they make it to the championship game, then they'll get thrashed by Wisconsin.
