He mentioned him because he set another record, he didn't just mention him for the hell of it.
If I'm not mistaken he also congratulated DJK last year in a press conference after he set the single season record, but DJK wasn't setting a record of some sort every week like McNutt is doing so no need to mention DJK every week like he has with McNutt.
