How much of the lack of offense is poor QB play...

Vs our WR's not being able to get open? It seems like MG (and other QB's in previous years) get ready to throw and see nothing. And that seems to be the norm over the past several years. Kinda similar to how or DB's don't seem to ever know how to turn around when the ball is coming. Just a thought.

No way this is solely on Mark.
Big time dropped balls and WR not being able to get open..
Again. Plenty of replays showed receivers wide open while Gronsucksi just stood there. There were 3 or 4 dropped passes that were purely on receivers, the others were over thrown, under thrown, or behind them.

Because what no one ever seems to acknowledge is that in Iowa Football, the ball is scripted to go to one guy only whether he is open or not. Why for the last hundred years do you see wide open guys that the ball is not thrown too. Do you know how pissed Kirk would be if you threw the ball to the non-script and it was intercepted or incomplete. Now does that sound asinine? But think about what I just said a second and what you've seen the last years. If there is no truth to it , then not only do the Qb's we recruit suck, but also blind!

Put it this way, the game plan reflects the confidence that they have in the QB
Yes and no. I think more than anything else it reflects the conservative, ball control, low risk mindset of the Head Coach. Throw ONE long pass and you get a pass interference against their defense. Logic would say that they are flawed at that kind of coverage. So what would be the prudent thing to do? Yes throw it deep a couple of times AT LEAST UNTIL they show they can cover it.

We lost end of story. That's two years in a row. Our conference is among the wealthiest in college football and on an average the big ten has three times more money per football program than the Big Twelve.

This should not be happening.

We’re not going to be world beaters, (when are we?) but I think this team can still surprise. I think Gronowskis shoulder may still not be 100%. He definitely looked more settled which is good considering it was as hostile road environment. I think we can do decent but Oregon and PSU will be problems.
