I'd love Fran to tell some truth as his post-game presser.
Tough game, Michigan St played a tough physical game... made us earn it...and in the end we had our opportunities to win the game. But we just didn't capitalize on them. That's on us. We didn't close the deal.
That being said... it's become clear to me, that in this league...you're not going to get the benefit of any calls unless your name is Izzo or Ryan. Both of those men have built good programs...to their credit, and they're find coaches. But this isn't the NBA...I'd like to think the officiating will be even-handed. I realize that I may be biased in this sense...so I'd welcome the input of you guys out there who saw the game. What do you think? What did you see?
BUT...understanding that, it's my job to get my guys ready to play, coach them to play through the tough moments that happen in competition and win the game. And we're going to focus on doing that. Nothing is given to you in this league, you have to earn it. And tonight, we didn't earn it.
If the conference sees fit to fine me, OK. I'll willing to accept that and pay the price. Hopefully...it will make us a better league in the long run. That is my hope.
I take it you want Fran suspended again?

Good thing the table/bench didn't break into pieces. There must not have been any empty chairs in reach
Haha, is that why the fat dude on the end looked like he had his drink spilled?
Ah, it was nachos. That is even worse than a drink. I seen it on TV and wondered if Fran had been pounding on the table.
Stop this RIDICULOUS ref crap and move on. We lost tonight. Don't make it close so the refs have any say in the outcome. Goodnight
I am thinking in the range of 1 million per ref.
First off their scum bag took 3 steps on the drive THREE! No travel call. They would have another travel a few minutes later also not called. There is no way that a ref who is not on the take could miss that.
Next the Iowa coach was correct in pointing out thier mistake, but they call him on a T for leaving the box. There is a 4 point swing right there between the 2 calls (Iowa wins). Then a couple minutes later the MSU DBag of a coach also leaves the box, NO CALL! How can that be, call one guy for leaving the box call both.
Next with about 2 minutes left Zach McCabe was clearly fouled on a shot fake. Once again no call. Knees made clear contact with the back.
Finally they missed an over and back near the end of the game.
This was a complete and absolute joke. Why should teams even bother to play the MSU cheater D Bag thug foulers any more until this is resolved. They will not get a fair shake in games that are called like this. It was an absolute miscarriage of justice. I for one will not be counting this game on my record sheet. I encourage other to do the same in protest.
It's ridiculous to say that bad calls weren't a contributing factor to the loss. You can name a few contributing factors and they're all true. Iowa missed free throws, missed bunnies, allowed too many offensive rebounds by MSU, left guys open for threes, didn't get the loose balls, AND the refs missed several calls then went against Iowa.
Jay Bilas must have pointed out 6-7 bad calls that were made by the refs and they were all calls that went against Iowa. A guy takes 5 steps on a layup and it's not called, the ball hit the midstripe line by MSU in what should have been an over and back, Bilas said a few times "said Iowa player" looked like he got fouled, no call.
It defies logic to say that all of the factors in the first paragraph didn't play a role in the loss. Yes, we could have made our free throws, rebounded better, etc. The refs also could have not bowed down to Izzo in their calls.
It's also misleading to say "well, we had 43 free throws to 20". The foul calls were too obvious to not call and part of the game plan by Izzo, a-la "Hack-a-Hawk".
I've made over 900 posts on this site and have never complained about the officiating but that was some of the worst I've ever seen.
This is going to be the running joke over time. It was 3 steps when it happened in real time. When reliving the call last night it was 4 steps. Now when talking about it today it's 5 steps.
20 years from now he will have not dribbled once from the hoop to hoop and took a total of 19 steps!
Post this crap as Cyclones17 or not at all. Quit with disguising this as an actual post, when it is a troll. The dude traveled, end of story.
