How many touches at RB does Garmon get?

If it's a close game again? I say 10. He should be getting more used to the offense and needs to take a little of the load of Damon. Plus you have to get your playmakers the ball and not that Damon isn't a playmaker but KF describes Garmon as "dynamic".

KF already said we will see Malloy this week. If we see Garmon this week it won't be for more than a few carries. Bullock will again take the load with Malloy getting his game experience in.

So he is still in competition with Malloy? I thought he would be #2 for sure now since Malloy didn't play at all.

I question whether he is strong enough to compete at this level. He seemed to go down pretty easily, from what I seen in his limited carries. I realize part of that might be from the line not opening up holes when he was in, but perhaps he is just a little too small to compete at this level just yet.
A year in Coach Doyles program will do him some good.

I think only time Garmon touches the ball this week against ISpoo is on kick off. Malloy will get his shot this week. My uneducated and couch coach opinion.

He looked like a freshman. a little skinny. Bullock will be the workhorse. Garmon will get 5 or 6 carries. He's not ready for more than that at this point.

Talked about it in the post game at the 3:48 area:

I think there's a chance that Garmon is being handled the way Brandon Wegher was handled in 2009. Week 1, Wegher didn't see the field, and Adam Robinson led the Hawkeyes in carries and yards. Week 2, Wegher was playing in the first quarter and led the team in carries and yards. I think we could see something similar with Garmon.

Jumper what did you see against NIU would lead you to think this? Honest question not being smart. Bullock looked better to me play the better back, not the more highly recruited one.

i think they need to find a way to use 2 backs that doesnt hurt the flow of the game. i felt when iowa brought in garmon that they lost momentum. maybe that is because of a knowledge of the offense that garmon lacked but it just didnt seem right. i dont want bullock to have to be the only guy as i think he would die if that were the case (though he looks physically stronger i dont think he can hold up).

i think they should go 2 series for bullock, then the 3rd series for garmon, then 4th series bullock, then 5th series malloy and see how they are flowing...if bullock is dominating dont go away from him unless you feel he needs a blow. i just dont want to see guys that dont get the offense out there messing up the flow.

We need to utilize Garmon's speed by either giving him a screen pass, or maybe some type of swing pass, give him space, because he won't be caught from behind!!

I really wish KF would learn this mostly unheard of rule. You can rotate a RB in and out during the course of a drive. The same guy doesn't have to remain in there the entire drive, just because you slated him pregame to play the 4th drive of the game.

I'd like to see more spot duty for Garmon, when Bullock could use a breather, but then again I'd like to see us give the ball to the running back when hes had 4 straight consecutive runs of 6+ yards....instead of deciding to throw 3 straight times after the running game is clicking and punt from plus territory.

How many does he get? I think 5. I also think #45 will see the ball more (especially inside the 20). I also believe we do see Malloy for 2-5 carries.

Need to keep guys fresh, and maybe one of them surprises.

That was a little different. Robinson was solid, but didn't wow anyone in his first game. Bullock looked like a workhorse and carried the offense all day.

Agree. I have never understood why KF just runs one guy into the ground (literally). It does seem like he commits the entire set of downs or entire series to one back. Throw the other 2 guys in for different situations or just to give Bullock a breather. The key is the more game experience, the better.
