How many of you were aware MLB Opener is Wednesday?

Could a league promote their sport worse? I have seen nothing on any network about the MLB opener this Wednesday morning in Tokyo between Oakland and Seattle.

Perhaps worse, no live national TV (heck I don't even know if there is local TV). MLB Network is doing a tape delay broadcast at 8am CT. The game starts at 5am CT.

the games arent in the states that is why they arent promoting because we wont be watching in the us.

Opening day is not as exciting for me knowing the season has not even started and already my Cubs are out of it.

Wait till next year!!!

You have one of (if not the most) popular sport in the United States starting, and every year you have the same thread full of haters talking about how boring it is. Does it make you mad that other people enjoy it?

People do this for soccer too. I don't particularly like soccer... but when there is a thread on it I don't go in and talk about how boring it is.

I'm not trying to be a dick, but what the hell prompted you guys to read the title of the thread and think "yeah, I need to go in there and tell everyone how boring it is".

Did think to yourself, "Yep, did it." as you clicked submit reply? Just asking because I am curious.

I'm right there with ya man i think all of cubdom has come to this realization. But with Theo we will get there in a few years. But the great thing about being a Cubs fan is no matter what a game at Wrigley is always a good time.

I've been to a lot of stadiums, and I think there was only once where I DIDN'T have a good time. Oakland.

I'll be honest about what I'm excited for this season. I actually will have a chance to see some kids play for the I-Cubs that will mean something to the organization (Jackson, Rizzo, and a few pitchers like Jackson, McNutt etc.). I know the Cubs aren't going to be good this year, I think they will improve over last year though, and in the near future being a cubs fan could be very exciting.

Make sure you attend plenty of games early in the season. I bet by June some of those names will be playing in Chicago.

I hope to take in a few I-Cub games this year, I enjoy going to Principal Park.
