How many Nebraska fans are rubbing one out

Anytime a program strives to be better than average our fan base thinks they are delusional... Why would anyone ever strive for something better than a 7 win average? Unheard of here at Iowa. Hence the fact we are irrelevant, and will remain so for the remainder of the Ferentz tenure.

I don't know what kind of offense Jack Frost runs but I'm guessing it's a spread, RPO, running QB type stuff. If it is I'm sure everybody in the B1G is terrified because nobody has ever done that before.

You can do it...with OSU elite talent and stellar defense. Neither of which they will have.

I think nebby is delusional...because they're delusional. Theyre on their 5th coach in less than 20 years...because of delusion. Nothing else weighs into it.

It wasn't that long ago they were averaging 9 wins a year. I'm pretty sure less people would be complaining here if Kirk averaged 9 wins instead of 7.5

He was the offensive coordinator at Oregon under Chip Kelly. He was there with Marcus Mariotta. It will be a different offense than everyone is used to.
Can't wait to this new type of offense. This guy must be an Einstein of football.

So you think the fuskers aren't delusional. Maybe they aren't but they sure have wasted a boatload of money and for what. Because of little peoples egos.

Fitz is the only one who has done it successfully and a huge component of his success is the fans don't freak out when he has a bad year because of no quarterback - most coaches don't have that luxury anymore. Fitz has more 10 win seasons during his tenure than Ferentz does in the same time period, but he also has had four losing seasons.

Not true, the ones complaining about 7.5 wins per year would be wanting 10 per year if we were averaging 9. There will ALWAYS be fans that think they should be better no matter what.

Yeah. Guilty. I hold the position that most up years Iowa is not as good as our record indicates and in most down years we are not as bad as our record indicates. This year, though, I'm at peace. The football gods did us right. We really only had two bad losses, Northwestern and Purdue. But the football gods gave us that great OSU win and let us beat ISU when in reality, we probably shouldn't have. So I think this year it all balanced out. It's easy to sit there and say "damn it, we should have beaten Purdue and Northwestern and had 10 wins." But that would discount the gift the universe gave us when we beat OSU. Had that PSU kick to the teeth on the last play not happened, this could have actually been some sort of miracle season, too, but had we won that game, I don't think OSU would have showed up sleepwalking and we would have given that one up, but who knows?

Guys I was listening to the channel out of Omaha last night on the way home....you wouldn't believe the love fest pucker callers were talking. Should of been a Sirius rated x call in show for all the sucking that was going on!

Have I ever told you how much I love you?

Frost was a HC for 2 seasons and took an 0-12 team to undefeated with the last win over a team that beat the 2 teams that will play in the NC game. That is fact. What we don’t know is if that was lightning in a bottle with a stud QB and some good fortune or if he is a great leader and a builder of men. The latter is what you need to build a successful P5 program, particularly in the B1G. He wasn’t at UCF long enough to cycle through QB’s and reload his team. I think that is a way more important indicator for success that the style of play.

An additional thought is will NE allow SF to change the identity of NE as a program and will they allow him the time that may be required to do so. It actually helps SF that they are such an absolute disaster right now.
