how many fans at the msu game?

I was there.....I would estimate 1/10th of the stadium was Iowa fans (one wedge in the endzone). Assuming the stadium (which was full despite terrible weather) holds 60-70K, then 6-7,000 iowa fans is a good estimate. What a GREAT game!!

Sorry, I have season tickets and skipped the game. I guess I must not be a "true fan", I had a bunch of stuff to get done around the house and figured I could watch as much of the game as possible until it got out of hand then switch to another college BB game or an NFL play off game.

I thought the biggest crowd I have seen this year was for the Purdue game, which is odd considering it was a Tuesday night at 6pm. I went to the Minnesota game which had a decent crowd but not quite the crowd the Purdue game had. The crowd did not look that great based off what I saw on the TV but that can be decieving.

I would like to know how full it was.

I also had tickets (not a season ticket holder) and didnt go. Its hard to go when you know what the result is going to be
 
I was at the game Saturday and it seemed like it was actually a pretty decent crowd (for what it has been. My best estimate would be around 9 or 10 thousand.
 
Thats a good crowd then (for this year) - i was suprised when i heard the 6k number....glad it isnt true
 
Ahhh....disregard my prior post....I'm still basking in the glow of football season.....I was at the Michigan State football game last fall and my post reflects that game......just put a big L on my forehead and call me a LOSER!! : )
 
Been to all the games in the last three years. This crowd wasn't 10,000 but still might have been the largest of the year although the Minnesota game with the 4-pack promotion was close.
 
ESPN has the box score attendance at 9,924....which means actual fans in the building was something lower than that. Some totals from earlier games this year said 8 or 9 thousand and watching on tv you could clearly see the actual attendance was maybe half that.
