Yeah, basketball games.

the reality of we have simply become a very average football program. And this program is headed in the wrong direction ...
If KF had ANY honor, he'd donate his salary this year to charity. But he's just another CEO who believes he deserves his millions for lousy performance.
But Jon will start in on how hard it is to recruit in Iowa, and more justification for doing nothing. Yes, it would cost big to fire him, but when we finish last for a few years, how much will it cost to not fire him. The program? The fan base?

This evening has been woefully low on derp. Bless you VHS, for saying something so stupid, it makes the loss worth it.
There was booing today, but it was for the officials, and in support of the team.
The crowd was fantastic today. Very, very loud when it counted. We're all disappointed, but there is hope.
I don't know if it's because there ain't much to do in Iowa, but some of you become nearly suicidal after a loss like this, and it's kinda sad.
The hawks will improve, and probably be pretty good the next couple of years (although this year will probably be rough)....probably. I think they'll surprise some teams.
Yeah, it's gotta be a beotch of epic proportions to recruit to a school within a leisurely drive to the 3rd largest city in America. It's too bad Iowa City is no fun, because it would help if that town were more exciting and cosmopolitan. Like, say, Manhattan, KS...or Lincoln, NE...or Boise or Provo or West Sucking Lafayette or those wonderlands of sophistication in Alabama and the rest of the old Confederacy.
Ah. If only.
As much as it pains me to say it, I'll be in those bleachers regardless of how well the team is playing. I love the sport and I love to get the opportunity to get away from home on Saturday's during the fall. I get that people are upset and they should be, but to alot of us it's about more than simply winning and losing, it's an escape from day to day life. As much as I hate days like today I'd rather be in those stands then any where else.
I've had two back surgeries the past two seasons that have caused me to miss the last three home games the past two years and to be honest, not being there hurts regardless of how the team is playing. My backs in good shape this time around and I no longer take Saturday's for granted and simply try to enjoy every saturday.
I still don't get the "we need to have empty seats to send a message". This program needs money if they want a new coach (if that's your perspective), a lot of it. Might as well buy the tickets, show up and then by concessions, shirts or whatever.
Will it be next week, next month, or next year. Or will somebody else just gobble up those tickets and Kinnick will continue to be a sell out. I would say the student section will be the 1st to see vacant seats. When will the rest follow?
