How likely is Iowa to make it to NYC assuming they win the first round

I doubt it. We have 2 home losses this season in close games. Those teams are currently 1 and 3 seeds in the NCAA. It will be a huge upset if Indiana State wins.

We're 11.5 point favorites. Vegas thinks we'll cruise past ISU.

We also have the largest spread of any NIT game.

Iowa, starting 3 Freshman, a sophomore and a Jr. kicked the crap out of ISU who started 4, 5th year seniors and a Jr. The Cyclones were fortunate, however that they play their league games in a poor conference so they were still able to back their way into an NCAA tourney bid. A friendly reminder to the cocky Cyclone fans posting over here: ISU played decent non conference opponents this year and lost to all three.

Without looking, anyone remember who won the NCAA 2 years ago? How about 3? The only reason I remember KY won the NCAA last year is because of all the lament over them not being able to defend it, this year.

Point is, unless it's you or your team, it really doesn't matter come the following March.

UConn, Duke, UNC in 2009? Kansas 2008, Florida 06 & 07. Did not look it up, how did I do?
