How does this pedo stuff impact the legends race?

PSU is clearly in the driver seat there at 5 and 0. To say they face distractions going forward is an understatement. This involves the head coach as well as some active positional coaches, the AD, and others. Typically in cases like this a team can either A) turn inward and insulate themselves from everything outside, or B) just loose it. A is very difficult for a college team though just because of the numerous interactions each player has on campus on a daily basis. An NFL player can go hide in a locker room or training facility for weeks. A college player has to attend classes, eat meals at dorms, walk around campus, etc. I can't image what it's like to be part of that program right now.

It doesn't help either that the easy part of their schedule is over and what they've got left is Nebraska at home, @ Ohio State, and @ Wisconsin. Even without this scandal they may have been looking at 5-3.

I've wondered about this too. Without the scandal & distractions I think they would dominate Nebraska at home. I'm thinking they likely still will but that will be tougher now. I give them a 50:50 shot at both the Wisconsin and Ohio St. games. My guess would be that they finish 7-1 in the conference and win the leaders. I think they'll rally behind JoPa in what is almost surely his final season now. For the sake of the players, I hope it goes well for them. None of this is their fault and the coming years may be tough for some time.

I'm curious to see how the local media, and possible others, deal with this one. The school has said it'll be Nebraska-only questions, but I can't see how that's going to fly. Even if it's just Paterno having to plead the 5th in response to every question, he deserves whatever is thrown at him today and every day going forward.

It will only affect the Legends division with the Nebraska game. Penn St will not show up this Saturday at all I'm guessing. Nebraska will probably get the win and hold steady in the race.

If you meant Leaders, it will affect the Leaders big time. I bet Penn St doesn't win again this season. Penn St was in the drivers seat. Now I think OSU and Wisky are in the drivers seat.

I think this is another example of leadership failure. Certaintly, it makes sense not to incriminate one's self or PSU, but to proactively say "don't ask" is probably a bad public relations move. Just my opinion...
