How come my SI didn't have Rick on the cover?

The Stanzi cover was only a regional cover, and it was for a Big Ten preview edition. So this is not even close to the same thing as a national cover like DJK had or like UNI had after beating Kansas.

Regional meaning Iowa City only? I live in Chicago, which is obviously dead center of the B10/Midwest region and we have the OSU cover as well. Did people that live in Iowa get the Stanzi cover?

I think the Stanzi cover was a localized Big Ten preview...

The Stanzi mag is something you have to buy. As a SI subscriber you don't get that one with your subscription unfortnately.

My guess is that it might be a retail only cover........... meaning if you are a subscriber you will have to buy another magazine.

The SI that came in the mail is the college football preview. The SI with Stanzi on the cover is the regional cover for the Big Ten preview. Not unlike Athlon, Lindy's etc which always have an issue with an Iowa player on the cover to sell to the state of Iowa. Not that big of a deal IMO.

I was in Southern Iowa over the weekend and stopped at a gas station in Osceola, Ia and they had the OSU cover of SI not Stanzi. I was ******.
