How was the late hit BS?

Could be due to the late whistle and the fact that the player was still running like he was in-bounds. Add that on to the block in the back penalty that was called back. Why did the official who threw the flag that was closest to the play get over-turned when he was the closest one to the play? That being said, VaTech has nobody to blame, but themselves.

Whistle came late and defender wouldn't have been able to tell if his heel stepped out or not. I thought it was BS too. The block in the back that was taken back was borderline also.
