How Bronco! BSU looking Good

Yeah, but put them through the gauntlet of a real conference schedule and see how they're looking by the end of the year.

What's that have to do with this game? THIS GAME they are dominating. And anyone who tries to deny the talent they have just looks foolish. This is a great team. Are they deserving of a National Title shot? I don't think so because of their schedule. But they are a heck of a team.

Don't start hating on Boise. All the excuses about how Overrated VT is very irrelevant. So far they are looking better than Florida, Oklahoma, texas, and arguably Alabama against way better team

I have been critical of BSU's schedule for the last two years but after this quarter I have to admit they are contenders.

BSU is beating the Chickens at their own game. Isn't "Beamer Ball" considered tough D and predatory special teams?
I'm kind of liking this beat-down so far. I stated previously elsewhere that I have a VA Tech grad for a neighbor (older guy, retired bank exec), and he's always chirping VT this and VT that. I just fly my Hawkeye flag proudly and smile when he runs on about the silly ACC. I felt compelled to remind him a couple times earlier this year how bad the ACC champ got trucked by the Hawks in the OB.
So this'll shut him up, if the Bronco dominance continues. :D

Did you notice Taylor back away from the play when the running back cut it back? I could not imagine Stanzi not getting in there and throwing a block. There was only 2 BSU players on the cutback and Taylor did nothing. At least give the back a chance against one

That's what I was kind of getting at in my previous post. I agree that BSU is talented, but I think this is more of VaTech beating themselves and just being downright un-prepared for this game.

Damn, not much respect for Boise St here. I think they look pretty tough. D looks a lot faster than I thought they would. VT is making a lot of mistakes but they are still a legit BCS program and Boise is beating them up pretty good.

I love Iowa, but we should wait until Iowa at least beats a BCS conference team before we talk smack about a team that is handing VT its lunch in VT's back yard.

Good job VH. I don't have a dog in this fight but I would like to see Va Tech put BSU out of title contention but at this point I'd settle for a good game.

Virginia Tech just scored but Boise's D line is still looking good and Tyrod is still under pressure. If Taylor didn't have mobility and if they had a QB like Stanzi in they would be demolished because he is getting no time to throw

Agreed. They look like a national championship team. VT is on the board now, but if they don't start controlling the tempo, they won't score again.

Hey, hey, now wait a second. Who's side are you on? Maybe you should change your avatar to a BSU one...

Plus, we're IOWA, not poopie VaTech.

I don't care how good BSU or TCU is they don't deserve a BCS game until they join an actual conference. Any team can get up for 2 games and then skate through the rest of the season against cupcakes. Put either of them in the Big Ten, Pac 10 or SEC and they lose at least 4 games a year, no question in my mind.

IMO if you are rooting for BSU or TCU you are rooting against the Hawks. Even if we go undefeated we still won't get the NC game if the other two go unbeaten as well.

Dude VT is overrated. I honestly couldnt see why they were ranked so high this year other then just to make this game look good. They return only 4 on Defense and the O-line is awful. Boise has yet to play a legit top ten team.

I would like to see Boise play a team ranked in the top ten in say week 8. They got handed the fiesta bowl last year when they played TCU.

I agree. When I saw that VT was so inexperienced on D, this game made more sense. Ratings, at the beginning of the year, are funny sometimes.

Just to proven my earlier point, I looked up Boise State's competition this year and this is what I came up with. The teams that BSU plays this year were 3-27 last year against top 25 teams. Of those 3 wins against top 25 teams VT had 2 and Oregon St had 1. The teams in their division did not have a single win against a top 25 team.

Adrian Arrington catching the ball behind the defenders back in the Cap One Bowl against Florida would be right up there for the best catch ever in my book.

Hakeem Nicks (UNC) against W. Virginia in a bowl game a couple of years ago comes to mind.

Boise is a good team. Definitely a Top 15, or Top 10 team this year. That being said, VT is setting this game up on a platter for them through the first two quarters.
