How are things in Ann Arbor?

Iowa has beat Michigan 5 out of the last 6 times including the last 2. Why would Iowa be intimidated by Michigan?

Heck, Nate Stanley was a freshman in high school the last time Michigan beat Iowa.

Last 2? Which years

Last 2 games. 2016 and 2013. Michigan crushed Iowa in 2012 to end a 3 game win streak Iowa had in 2009, 2010, and 2011.

I’m not sure why their helmet scares Iowa fans. Regardless of how this year’s game turns out, this will be the first decade Iowa definitively got the better part of Michigan.

Iowa was a shell of a team when they played Michigan in 2012. Short pass routes, missing both tackles, young linebackers

It’s shocking to think back at 2012 and think the team had Hitchens, Kirksey, and Hyde on it and they still sucked. I don’t have much positive to say about that year. I think that’s the only year Nebraska ever won a division in the B1G.

But, I think it shows how much Iowa has done that the 2012 rendition of Iowa is the only loss this decade. I don’t know what Kirk has to do to give the fan base ease for Michigan, but I’m going to keep pointing at scoreboard.

2012 was a perfect storm for a bad season with Greg Davis in his first year I believe, bad passing game, losing the running game at the Off line injuries. But before that Cent Mich upset the hawks in Kinnick on a weird delay of game call against the visitors on a late kickoff (totally mismanaged by the officials). But then the hawks got that big win at Mich St to go to 4-2 and 2-0 in the Big 10. PSU then exposed them and the injuries started but no one thought they would lose their last 6 games several of which were close but the hawks just couldnt make a big play when needed the last half of the season.

Since then the coaches and players have of course done some great things.

I think the 2012 year was when we lost Donnal and Scherff for the season within a 3-play span against Penn State. Pretty much killed the season offensively right there.

In 30 years I've never seen an Iowa O-line get dominated as they did vs that game vs Penn St...it was like a Top 5 college team teeing off on Jr. High players. (LATER) Just checked to make sure my memory was correct...yep, PSU led 38-0 in the 4th quarter. Iowa got a TD on a kickoff return and a 37 yd drive with 1:13 left in the game to make the score 38-14.

I watched 1 series in the 2nd half and headed for the exit. Iowa was also trying to run stretch with Weisman on a sprained ankle

As much as I enjoyed watching Michigan getting their little girly panties spanked, I didn't like seeing Wisconsin's return. There was nothing for Michigan to hang their hat on in that game. No moral victory. No positives.

Michigan has too much talent to be overlooked next week. Michigan is going to be disparate for a quality win.Iowa would be a quality win. With Iowa's schedule, they can't afford a loss. The road to the West goes through Madison.....Again.
