Hope Ferentz doesn't do what Pinkel did

When you knowingly harbor and keep a known child molestor safe, then yes, that definitely takes away from any greatness that you had. That's the bottom of the barrel there, and just dispicable. You're an idiot, Gary Pinkel.

"We're just focused on our football team" or other such coachspeak will rule the day. Book it.
That's pretty much how he usually is. Unlike pretty much any other media weekend I hope that's all that any coach gets up there and says when asked about the PSU situation. There's no reason to do what Pinkel did. That doesn't change one persons mind and only makes him look bad

I would go with the I believe there are still ongoing investigations, so it would not be appropriate to comment on that issue at this time.

The only way JoePa "would have done anything different" (paraphrasing Pinkhead) is if he had known he was going to get caught and possibly fired.

Pinkhead is an idiot.

When does it click for these idiots down there? Ever?
Fall on your ******* swords already.
Nothing left to defend is there? Other than their stupidity and blind pride?

Two things:

I only know Ferentz in passing, but I know him enough to safely say that he views this Penn State atrocity with absolute disgust.

Second: He doesn't want to talk about it, and probably won't. If he pulls a Pinkel, I'd be stunned.

Anybody here think KF would say this?

Talking with reporters at Southeastern Conference Media Days on Tuesday, Pinkel was quoted as saying "you can't take away the greatness of this man. He was a great man, and you can't, however you analyze this, all of a sudden erase all that this guy's done. You can't do that. Nobody can do that."
Pinkel said Paterno was a friend who he got to know professionally. He added that it was a "tragic situation ... involving children" and that "I'm sure maybe if (Paterno) could do it over again he would (have) followed up a few things."

Pinkel is an absolute slimeball POS. He's in the right conference, though.

I would imagine Delany will be letting coaches know what to say and what not to regarding PSU.

That's too much legalese. Just a simple "No comment" or something equally bland.

I agree wholeheartedly with him that you can't place all of the blame on JoePa. That's an accurate statement.

To some degree he's right about JoePa's legacy. Where he is wrong is that there are people who can do that. There are many people who can diminish JoePa's legacy based on this one incident.

However, he's right from the perspective that his greatness of what he did do good won't go away. JoePa will always be involved in conversations about the history of college football and Penn State regardless of this incident. You can try to take away his wins and retrofit punishment, but it doesn't really erase what history.

Yes it does. You don't get credit for doing great things for 99 kids and then get to say "and I really feel badly for the one I let get a$$ raped by my D-coordinator"...JoePa=POS...end of story.

If KF replies to PSU questions with "coach speak" I will not be disappointed. It would be foolish to do otherwise.

In principle it would be nice if that's the way it worked, but reality is another story.
