Even though Fran has his March struggles and his teams have their defensive lapses, I would still take Fran ball over Lickliter crap fest. If Fran could just figure out March and improve in his recruiting at the point guard position he could give Kirk a run for his money in longevity.

By the way where has everyone been on the forum this year????? Has Fran burned out the base??? Yes, the early outs in March can frustrate the hell out of you but it's not like this year's team is terrible. I have seen much, much worse over fifty years of following Iowa basketball.

You sorta answered it already regarding Peyton. He's emblematic ... Ya just can't rely on this team and NEVER know what you'll get.

I was as optimistic coming into this year as I've been in some time. I'm still a regular but the feast / famine - especially from the shooters - and the stretches of horrible defense and rebounding are just SO frustrating. I get how a casual fan would easily check out after some of the blown leads (ISU, UT ST) + the Wisc game.

Nice run by iowa to end the first half......... to get a ten point lead after being down. Maybe Sanford will get hot in the second half and we can walk away with this one. The law of averages says he should do just that.

Most impressive to me this game is the relentless effort, hustle and attacking. Getting loose balls, battling in the boards, dare I say ... good defense?

So frustrating. The 2nd half against Nebraska and this game here shows you that they are capable of playing good defense. But we all know a turd is coming at some point.
