Iowa wins 27 to 24. I dont think usc's defense is some lights out great bunch so if the Iowa coaches can get a good game plan, find the areas to attack, and the players perform I think Iowa moves the ball and scores 27 or 28. Iowa's defense is going to be tested but if Iowa's offense can limit the number of possessions I think usc scores about 24. Iowa needs to get a pass rush and also not allow usc to get a running game going with their speedster RBack. Need a great tackling game.

Without either team getting a huge turnover or crazy bounce discrepancy I see Hawks winning 27-24.

So...i watched ESPN's Bowl Mania show. What a joke. ctful.

Your first mistake was watching anything from espn having to do with analysis except for an actual sporting event. Espn got into the business many years ago of concocting story lines that dont have much to do with the actual event. Their analysis shows on the nba many years ago just got to be terrible takes on a few players rather than past game highlights as they relate to upcoming games.

I picked Iowa to win. I think the boyz go out and take it to USC. Them pretty boyz won't know what hittem'. I can see Nate rattled b/c I think USC will blitz but our boy Brian will settle in and call a good game .

Iowa 30-USC 23

The only time I watch anything on ESPN other than live sports is if I am captive, like at the gym. The worst thing that happened to ESPN was the invention of the internet and Twitter in particular. It used to be they could show some strongman competition from an indeterminate time and you'd watch it. They had decent tertiary content like F1, NASCAR, some soccer, maybe bowling. At some point they started showing crap like poker.

Then, twitter came. They got priced out of content by FS1 and NBCSN who bid up marginal content to ungodly levels and to fill the air time, ESPN produced several hours a day of hot take shows. But in say July, there are only so many hot takes you can throw out there. You can only hold yourself out as an expert so long when your claim to fame is a loud declaration that the "LIONS WILL WIN THE SUPER BOWL!" So the takes then became "LeBron had a really scathing tweet today, we'll dissect it after the break." It can be argued as to the precise moment ESPN jumped the shark, but once we got to the point where we had 4 people sitting around pontificating on the deep meaning of a LeBron tweet, it was abundantly clear that the shark had been jumped.

what else worries me is that Thanksgiving was late on the calendar, and now this week is Finals week at the U of Iowa, so the players are studying for final exams and practicing this week. Then next Friday night it's the Holiday Bowl, so they only have next week to practice with all the media stuff and running around San Diego for team events. They aren't just getting some time to practice with no distractions.

Bowls aren’t like they used to be where you get there a week prior and party as a team. My guess is Iowa gets there the 24th maybe the 23rd and will leave within three to four hours after the game ends.

they won't leave the night of the game, they will leave Saturday morning.

This team better be all business. Women make legs weak.

SC throws for over 350 yards and 4 TD's, runs for another. Hawks score, but not enough. In order for Iowa to win, IMHO, we will need 3 INT's and at least 4 sacks. We can't settle for FG's against Trojan's
speed. USC 35, Iowa 20
