High school districts

I just wanted to send a little reminder that high schools around the great state of Iowa will be holding district tournaments this weekend with kids getting there shot to qualify for the state tournament. If you can get to one of them I encourage all of you wrestling fans to attend a tournament near you and support the sport and all of the great kids who participate!

I believe that USAFhawk and myself will be in Manchester checking out some high school wrestling. I believe this to be the best district going on in the state this weekend and it should be fun.

greatest time of the year for some of these kids!

can't wait to have one of my own. but then again i might not put him through wrestling 16 years of his life cuz my body is torn apart

Hey FF, Any chance you could post a link or post a run down of what schools are at what district and where they're being held? I'd sure appreciate it......

Thanks for posting that Hawks1010, you beat me to it. All districts start at 12 on Saturday. There should be some great wrestling as always this weekend!

I can't wait until my son gets old enough to be in something like this!

hopefully wrestling will gain steem again in this state.

wrestling got big when i was little because the hawks were dominating. had people to look up too! hopefully technology doesn't ruin our kids of the future of wrestling

We have a 7 year old that is in his 2nd year of wrestling and really enjoys it. Has a group of about 40 K-6 graders in his club. Last weekend, Linn Mar had a little kids tournament. Had nearly 600 kids in the tourney. Being to a few kid's tournament this year, it seems that youth wrestling is still pretty strong. Hopefully, this will lead the kids to wrestle in high school.

little kids programs is where it ALL starts

head coaches have to encourage their towns to have good lil kids programs even if that means putting in some extra time
