Hey, we won today...

Be careful, spank. Next, someone will try to give the current coaching staff credit. Or the players. That's not allowed, is it? :)

Don't get me wrong - it's nice, but I much rather enjoy the pissin matches between posters to see who knows more assistant coaches and is 'in the know' more than others.

I'm with ya Spank! I was there, and it was a good feeling.

I was in the isle that the football team left and Clayborn was mobbed. While others simply walked right out, he stayed and signed autographs, posed for pictures for about an hour. I felt sorry for him because he was trying to leave, but also impressed because he didn't turn anyone down. Pretty cool.

Glad you pointed in out stormin.............A WIN is a win. There are always more positive to view in a winning effort.

Let's Go Hawks! I heard that they had the entire Football team there at half time? :)

I made it to the game tonight as well and nice to see a "W". I had forgotten how easily a crowd could get loud and get excited when a team puts some points on the board and takes the lead. Carver was only about 1/2 full, but still, I got a bit of that old feeling of how much fun a basketball game could be when the crowd gets into it.

You went to this one?!
Did you end up going to the Virginia Tech game too?

It's nice to win and it's nice to end a losing streak to Drake. We should have a two game winning streak going into the Big Ten season. Here's to a 18-0 Big Ten and an auto bid to the NIT!

Since Young was yaping in the DMRag that an Iowa sweep would be a highlight for his Drake career, makes this in-state victory even more sweet.

I was at the game, and I was thinking the exact same thing. It was depressing to see all those empty seats, but there were 2 or 3 occasions where it did get loud in there, and reminded of what once was and what will be again in the future.

Before ISU gave home-court a gimmicky nickname, CHA was the place in Iowa to watch college basketball.

"Iowa was playing basketball today? Who did they play? What was the score?"

If you don't know or don't care, then why do you post about them???

It was more of a subtle point made about the apathetic Iowa fans who aren't paying any attention to the season because Iowa is not very good this year or disagree with what Coach Lickliter is doing. Sorry.
