I figured. I see no problem really with posts like fulsaas's. Helps bring some activity to the board. Especially during the offseason. With Metcalf losing to Frayer the amount traffic might be down. But it is an Olympic year so you never know.
Also Pin... I never was able to wrestle in high school. At the time when you asked, i thought it was none of your business. But since i really dont give a ****. here ya go....
I was raised a Jehovah's Witness by my mother and was never aloud to go out for sports. When i was 17 i moved out on my own so i could play football and wrestle my senior year. I played football and it was great! Except for the sprained ankle and the bum knee. I was beat up pretty badly so wrestling became less of an option. Also i weighed 215 at the time with really no spot to wrestle except heavyweight. Rusty Kordick and Brian Stueve manned the weights i would have wrestled. At the time i simply didnt want to wrestle against giant fat slobs at Hvy. I will always regret not giving it a go. But i cant change the past
I wrestled my friends in high school several times. PE, after school in the wrestling room, parties etc. The wrestling coach asked me several times to give it a shot while i was in high school. It simply never worked out.
I envy those of you that were able to wrastle. When my son grows up i will let him play whatever sports he wants. Except of course basketball during wrestling season...
Anyways I have loved hawkeye wrestling since i was a little kid, and i always will. Some of the hardest working athletes i will ever see. Cant wait for next season!
This is a "WRESTLING FORUM". Your entitled to post what you think that involves "WRESTLING". If some people want to be humorous and ********, leave. It's really nobody's business if you used to wrestle or not. Whose to say that some posters who talk about their glorious wrestling days, even wrestled at all. I could care. I agree with wild turkey when it comes to this forum as being a Struggling wrestling forum.
Question, in 8th grade wrestling and basketball had split seasons so you could do both. Not bragging here, but I was by far the best backup player on the D team my only season of basketball. Does that qualify me to post about basketball?
Also, AFHawk, I know life without wrestling is going to be tough. But, I think living in Hawaii negates a lot of the negatives.
