+1 It's the knee-jerk reaction. Iowa wins a few games and Ferentz is a genius. Iowa loses a few and fans call for his job. The world keeps spinning.

People, including me, overreact to losses, however, we have had the same coach for over a decade. This team should not be this bad right now. We can make a hundred excuses, but this administration has reached its peak, and is on the downward slide. I'm sure many will stick by this 7-5, 6-6 and maybe a good season once every 5 years ****, but I expect more. I feel we can be better I delusional?

Just leave. It isn't too late to find another team. If you all hate KF so much than stop watching, stop going to the games. It is an embarrassment to have a board like this. Way too much of a season left to be freaking out. Maybe reality stings now that you realize we aren't going 9-3. Deal with it with class.

Have fans called for his job? I think Ive read complaints about the poor play displayed by a team coached by one of the highest paid football coaches in the nation. But I dont think anyone has started a firekirkferentz.com site yet.

Thats the cool thing about this nation we live in. Free speech and the ability to freely speak our minds. And another great thing is that you dont have to listen or read it.

wrong. i'm not a homer. not a hater either. well established that you are a KF hater. never called you a wagon fan. KF has plenty of faults and if i had my choice i'd have a different type of coach. but that ain't happening and i'm not switching teams. so i've dealt with it, suggest you do the same.

i think you're a great poster on every other board. but you need to rethink your style on this one. that's all i'm saying. would have no problem telling that to your face, as i have to several of my other friends tonight.

I don't think expecting more out of your team and getting frustrated when they lose makes you a bandwagon fan.

It almost makes you more of a fan because, as a fan, you dont want to accept the lackluster product that is being displayed by your favorite team.

Most of the people on this site come here because they bleed black and gold and are irritated or apathetic at this point because even with change nothing new in regards to the Iowa Football program has occured.

Couldn't agree with you more Scorp/Vin, each game I sit in the stands at Kinnick I feel more and more like a Cubs fan.

Just happy to be there on a nice sunny day, no need to invest emotionally in the game anymore because you have witnessed the same product march on the field year after year. All this occuring while a new product of football is being played at just about every other football program in the country.

One day we will catch up the with the way the game is currently being played, unfortunatly it wont be any time soon.

I was...and 1980 losing to Arizona something like 5-3 (my very first game in Kinnick) and 1985 beating Michigan 12-10 and the waning Fry years and 1999 and 2006-07 and ...

Fans is Fans and haven't changed in my 3+ decades of relishing in Hawkeye sports from August to March. Only diff is, thanx to social media such as this site, what used to be vented in dorm rooms, living rooms or tailgates amongst friends and family, is now vented for everyone and anyone to hear or read.

Don't paint such a broad stroke just because you don't like or disagree with what you hear or read. You might know some Hawkeye history and focus on the positives but you do not know much about what a fan is.
