Help Needed Please - How To Watch The Game Tonight From Mexico

My sis and her family just took a week long vacation to Mexico and brought my Mom along who is a big Hawkeye fan. She just called me to see if I could call Comcast, her provider, to see if I can get her password or something to be able to watch it on her iPad. I can't, though, since apparently she wasn't able to get my authorized on her account.

Which brings me to you techies. Are there other ways I can give her to be able to watch the game tonight? Doesn't ESPN have a mobile app now? Will the game be shown on that? Are there other sites that will carry the game? (preferably legally so they can make it home instead of tossed in a Mexican prison)

You can try ESPN3, it is blacked out in the continental US but is available in Alaska and Hawaii. She can try it, not sure if it will work.

Unfortunately, I think you're s.o.l. Was in Mexico during B1G tourney and was hoping to watch IA v NwU, which was on one of the ESPN networks. When it asked for your "local cable provider", it only defaulted to Mexican cable services. Even had one of the resort employees banging away on the laptop to try to find a way but just couldn't get the USA-ESPN feed to show in Mexico, at least online. It has something to do with ESPN security outside the U.S. and probably not competing with "Deportes". (Now, was able to watch the MSU game on Friday on BTN2GO, just fine.)

If you're in Cancun, just head to the northern end of the hotel zone and find a TGI's or Marguarittaville, maybe even Sr. Frogs or Carlos-n-Charlies. I watched last year's NIT game with Oregon on ESPN2 at one of those "American" bars and the NCAA several times over the years - God Bless satellite! Just have to ask your waiter and dole out a couple US denaros to show your appreciation.

If you're in Riveria Maya / Playa Del Carmen, it's a bit more of a search but probably still possible.

I have a great (somewhat hazy) memory in Cozumel ... Found a resturaunt that had a "sports book" in the back a few blocks off the city square in San Miguel. Even had the Iowa game on the board so bet a couple buck. A big crowd of locals came in to watch a soccer match but they still held our TV on the Iowa game. Great time trying to overcome the language barrier to share our passion for the Hawks and hear theirs for their team. Even came down to us cheering for their team and them for Iowa as we'd glance at each others' game.

I love Mexico.

Thanks for the replies.

They are on the western coast of Mexico (Punta Mita, near Peurto Vallarta (sp?)).

Same advice applies for that part Mexico. Find one of the American type bars and watch the game there. That's probably about the only way your going to be able to find it down there.
