We are really seeing effect of the loss of NFL talent off last year's squad. We have some young guys who will be good some day, but they are not there yet.

KF should be. Although I do not care for him, I dont want to end up like Minnesota or end up like our Bball team did after Davis was forced out.

BUT if there is a 120% chance we get BB or Stoops, then I will take them in a heartbeat.

The ship sailed on Stoops when our stodgy administration failed to hire him when they had the chance. Ferentz has had his moments, but to this day, I sometimes wonder what might have been.....

I am a Hawkeye fan.

But everyone seems to attack any KF naysayers. Ask yourself what Kirk has done, other than the Orange Bowl, in the last seven years. He had a lot of unexpected success in 2002 and 2004 but has disappointed more times than not in the last seven years. Given the number of former Hawks in the NFL, the Hawks have underperformed in recent years. Period.

Really, because I can't think of a better excuse. Yeah, Ferentz is overpaid because he couldn't seamlessly replace his defense after half of last years squad is playing in the NFL.
