Hawks vs. Irish

This is the most talented woman's team to come to Carver in a long time. As someone mentioned earlier it will be a small victory for Iowa to keep it below 20. This Notre Dame team has made good teams look bad, they have beaten UConn 3 times.
 
















By the time Logic is a senior, Iowa will be positioned for a deep run in the NCAA's. They probably won't ever get a 6'8 - 240 tree to plant under the basket, so they won't beat the very best teams, but they will be close.
 


Refs are starting to even out the calls...as we are 21 down. Convenient.. Logic is legit and we need to find that tree plant.

Not saying your wrong at all, just curious. What makes you say this? Logic is good and Taylor hustles but who else will help make this deep run? Do we have some good recruits coming in or redshirting?

I dont watch much womens bball but this game is not even close. They could play ND 20 times and never win. There is a massive gap in talent in womens bball. Iowa is decent but look like a 16 seed vs 1 seed in mens bball.

Agree 100 percent. The talent gap between the top 5 or so teams and the rest of the field is astonishing. The Iowa women will always do okay in the Big 10 but will never advance beyond the second round.

I watched the game cause I normally enjoy watching the lady Hawks. Not that much this game though. We stood around in a lazy 2-3 zone, didn't close out on shooters, and didn't box anyone out. Given the talent of ND, UI's best effort on the luckiest day of their lives wouldn't be enough.

Logic is a hecka good baller. As someone else pointed out, post players have no strength at all. The question that baffles me the most: Whatever happened to Printy? She's disappeared lately.

Then you did not pay much attention to this game, Iowa played their butts off and defended one of the best teams offensively very well only giving up 28 points in the 2nd half. The difference was not being able to hit wide open looks from the 3 point line. Iowa makes on average 6 three pointers a game, last night they went 0-11 it would have been a completely different game last night had they even nailed 4 of them. Printy is normally a real good shooter, she was way off the mark last night as well as Melissa Dixon.

agreed. the talent gap in women's basketball is huge between the 1 seeds and the rest of the field. ND is a team that has played in the NC game the last couple years, so no doubt they have the talent.
 


The difference IMO was ND Defense really stressed Iowa out, Iowa was never able to comfortable. It was very clear early on that Iowa didn't have a prayer..


ND is good..
