Agreed. QB, WR and CB would be preferrable.

That said, we had a scholly for Proctor, so they had space for a transfer. Also, the OL is experienced, but has not looked great the last couple years. I think with more an attacking style offense the OL has the chance to be good. A depth guy in the middle never hurts.

The coaches know there will be transfers and retirements after Spring Ball. They probably even know which 6-7 kids will be departing. There will be room to add a QB and a WR in the next portal cycle.

He's a preferred walk-on. Not taking a scholarship. At minimum he'll add depth to the line. Seems to have done good things at North Dakota. Started as a true freshman.
