Purdue made a last second 46-yard field goal to beat Iowa 27-24; It;s Iowa's first four-losses at home and four-game B1G losing streak since 1999.

Nice write up. The comments on the schedule are right on. The easiest B1G schedule we'll ever see in a year the B1G is awful. Any other Iowa team would of been undefeated this year and this team will end up 4-8 unless MI or NE hand them a game.

The sickening part of this is Iowa's offense made their defense look all pro. Purdue gives up on average over 400 yards of total offense and almost 200 yards on the ground. Iowa managed 263 total yards and only 74 on the ground. The roll out passes were working, why did we not see more of them? If I was Greg Davis I would be flat out embarrassed by my performance and play calling.

If I were Greg Davis I would do everyone a favor and quit, now.

JD, I truly hope SoundOff is not a hate-fest for you. If you can keep it realistic but goofy like last Saturday, you'll be a true Legend of Broadcasting.

Let's not forget the cupcake OOC schedule

It's only going to be a hate fest if I get in the way...and I sure as heck ain't getting in the way.

Once again, Kirk's poor decision making plays a factor--giving Purdue the wind in the 4th and costing Iowa a chance at the last second f.g. try b/c of the wind. Of course, he is richer, therefore smarter than almost every other coach in the world-as he is the only one who takes the ball when he wins the toss and ignores the elements. don't question KF, he knows more than all the other coaches who choose to defer.

Inexcusable bad football. Boring and lacking talent and more importantly any passion whatsoever. I'm shocked we could be this bad in the 14th year of KF's time at Iowa. The needle is pointing way down sadly.

I guarantee you that Greg Davis has been told, and believes, that he is "doing a great job". Guarantee it.

like that bald guy in the athletic department who was rehired to counsel student athletes.

could someone in the Athletic Department be lacking in judgement?

we've got two examples of poor judgement (KF Contract, Bald perv).

Only as long as you and I agree that Brian Ferentz should take his place

Based on what? The kid has no resume and was given a $250k job by his dad. There is no evidence that BF is even qualified to be a coach. Let him go out an earn his own job, make a name for himself.

Am I the only one who thought they should have punted on that 4th down at the end. Bring Weinke in for a short punt possibly pin them inside the 10. I like our chances better. Ironically this comes a week after 4th and inches...

How many super bowls have you coached in?

I don't think BF is ready to be OC, but to day he hasn't earned a job is just plain stupid.

It seemed to me that they were out of Meyer's range especially with the wind in his face. They called a pretty boneheaded play anyway, might as well punt there make Purdue go 15-30 extra yards. Just a thought.

Great point--I was thinking the same thing reading the article on Dr. Gray this morning.

Also, for further evidence I present...Todd Lickliter
