Hawks in the 'ships.

That should definitely be featured in recruiting! I was glad to see Tampa beat NO so each of the championship game teams had Hawks in the starting lineups, but didn't realize we would top the list!

James Madison?!?
Of course. Earl Watford, Aaron Stinnie, Josh Wells, and Dean Marlowe. I'd tell you how good they are if I'd ever heard of any of them.

Seriously though, I was surprised to see that they have 9 guys on rosters.

Surprised no one has gone to the "why Iowa hasn't accomplish more" card. I am not part of the Twitter world so maybe that debate has taken place there......don't know. It seems like low hanging fruit to me, but to others it has legitimacy.

Most of the nine Hokks in the championship games were not “skill” people — basically QB, running backs, receivers. Lot of guys on the lines. That’s Iowa’s bread and butter: build stout play in the trenches, use that to support what we can at the other positions. That has usually been good enough for 8-4 to 10-2 seasons that keep Kirk Ferentz employed.

Find a way to bring in and keep 4- or 5-stars in the marquee positions then you could be looking at NC contenders. The only B1G team like that right now is tOSU.
