Hawks Crack the Buckeye Nuts Wide Open Thread

Does anyone think Fran comes back next season? With the recruits coming in, what happens with them? There has to be discussions between the staff and recruits, because if I’m a recruit I would want some assurance about the coach‘s future.

Whatcha talkin bout? This game has nearly 60 posts. I've seen worse this season.
That said ... This team is just bad. Sandfort is having arguably the most disappointing sr season in recent memory. He continues to play most minutes of anyone shooting mid-teen % and leading in turnovers. Dix is shooting like crap lately and is starting to mope.
There is NO reason to expect any "break out" by either one, at least not sustained, which means this team is toast. It's NIT or bust and that is tenuous right now.
 
Every year we hear about how good our outside shooters are but it seems like every other team in the conference has shooters atleast as good!

Ok Beth you need to pull a "Brian" here and announce this will be Fran's last year. Good God this is a 3-5 team handing our ass to us.
 
It's always easier to make three point shots when it doesn't matter because the game is over.

I've thot all along he's got Indy on his mind. The most disengaged I've seen in his career.
Personally, fine if he goes. May lose the new guy but, honestly, don't know what we don't have as far as legit or not. Sorta bored with all the hyped up, tweener, 6'7 "shooter" guys who somehow find their slumps at Iowa.
Freeman is the only guy that consistently produces and the only one that matters. Said all year we need BIGS! But if I'm him, I'm in the portal as soon as the buzzer sounds after the first round NIT loss.

Kind of what I was thinking as well. If the whole roster gets blown up, so be it because it’s not great the way it is.
 
This is just a hard watch right now.The team seems to have regressed. Is it Fran? That is certainly a factor.. Sandfort and Dix way too inconsistent. Not much off the bench.. Just an overall mess with no end in sight.. Anyone here that can help me feel bettter please chime in.
