Hawks a No. 1 Seed in NIT

Hey, don't bring your alma mater into this.
Excellent diss to the people who actually went there :)

Most of whom probably make more money than your liberal arts degree ever will. Don't feel bad, though, the world still needs smelly hipsters. Who else is going to buy IPAs and extend their student loans for 50 years?

Undergrad at Tippie & MBA from Rice. I work for a fortune 500 and broke 6 figures last year, but by all means continue to make foolish comments and assumptions. I'm sorry that your so miserable that you put down the achievement of 18-22 year old kids. When most others realize what an accomplishment they have made.

Well, well, well! Let me apologize for disregarding your credentials, A-Man. You do realize that people who name drop their degrees and salary are the pinnacle of frat-boy douche bags, don't you? Let's all give Ad-Rock a hand folks, he's earned it!

I'm sorry you're so miserable that you put down 18-22 year-old kids who go to DMACC. My boss's son went there and "broke 6 figures last year" as an engineer for Vestas, and I guarantee you his wife is way hotter than that mud fence you curl up with at night.

Last thing before I tuck my tail and run away...one would sure think someone who graduated from Iowa's business school and had an MBA from Rice would know the difference between your/you're and not end a paragraph with a sentence fragment. If you want us to believe you're an MBA from Rice up your game and start acting like one for F's sake.

What coach has had 10 years to prove himself? Fran? If that's who you're referencing, you're not good at math.

In his first six years, he brought the team to three NCAA Tournaments in a row for the first time since '91-93. He took over the program when it was in the absolute crapper after Lick. It was way worse than when Alford or Lick took over. Way worse.

Would we like to see Iowa do better? Yes. We all would. But I think most of us realize where this program has been and see some hope for the future.

You need to find some perspective. You clearly don't have any.

I guess I wonder why that clown is still here, anyway...

Come on Rob.....he has already had seven (7), and numerous posters say he deserves another three (3)....that's ten (10). What ISU continues to do on the fly takes no time at all. I am sick and tired of hearing about what he inherited,,,,that was SEVEN years ago!!!! Look at his record in the Big 10 Tourney, and in early season tournaments...it is pathetic, That display against Indiana is what you get with this guy....sorry, nice fresh new players....but we will NOT see dividends down the road with the guy who is coaching them. Period.

<<What ISU has done on the fly takes no time at all>>

What has ISU "done"?

I hope there is a rebroadcast of the game. I will be having dinner with 24 yr old daughter to celebrate her birthday. Wow, it's amazing how fast they grow up. I remember posting about her leaving for college and it seems like just yesterday.

My apologies if this has already been answered, BigD. Since it is on ESPN2, they should have a replay up on WatchESPN.

GO HAWKS!!!

I hope you have a greattime with your daughter. It sounds like a lot more fun than watching a basketball game. For people that take these games to seriously, there are a lot more important things in life.

Absolutely. To me it's entertainment and I do enjoy mixing both "HAWKEYE sports and family time

I apologize for some of the spelling and half post I have put up lately but this page reloads so often I can't get a thought in edgewise before it reloads and deletes my post.

The 2 seed and 3 seed both lost last night. So we will play 3 home games against the 8, the 4/5 winner and the 6/7 winner. Playing in MSG would be great for the core of this team. And I really enjoyed the last NIT run. So I'm hopeful/optimistic we will win these 3 home games as a heavy favorite.
