A TD/INT ratio of 25/7 doesn't just happen. You have to be good. JVB may not have been a "Great" QB. But he was definitely the fall guy for an ugly transition period.

That being said... Rudock is the real deal. We are in great shape at QB for the next few years.

This. Vandy was better than a lot of B1G quarterbacks from the past several years. Was he great? No. But he was more than serviceable when in the right situation. He also made for an easy scapegoat, for several reasons.

After watching that OSU-Wisco game, I'm glad we have Rudock instead of Stave.
