Hawkeyes Offer Oliver Martin

If he wants to be a Hawkeye I hope he jumps onboard right away. Then I hope he goes out West to that elite camp and dominates.

If he does that, there won't be a spot left for him. Plus if you call having to wait 1 full week after his first P5 offer in the middle of June before his Sr. year, is "sweating it out", then I don't you really understand what "sweating it out" is.
I’m well aware… Iowa has had to have known about this kid better than any one right? For a long time I'd say. Iowa probably has like 6-10 maybe more offers out there to WRs when they are probably going to take 3. So unless you think in the next couple weeks 3 other WRs are going to commit I think he can take some time… Look I want him to be a Hawk. I think the kid is just a victim of being prioritized outside Iowa’s top 10 or so of WRs on their wish list. Iowa was hoping he’d continue to fly under the radar and he could have been either a walk on or fall back recruit closer to signing day. However now that other D1 BIG schools have offered him that forced Iowa’s hand. Iowa had him in their back pocket knowing he very likely wants to be a Hawk and were going to take advantage of that. Recruiting is a game and since schools do it to further degrees then this I’d have no problem if the kids do it too. That’s all I’m saying.

I trust Iowa's approach to recruiting in state kids. There are very few kids in Iowa that if Iowa sets their sights toward them, that they don't get (especially if they aren't getting big time Alabama offers, etc.).

I kinda hope he goes out West and dominates before he commits. That way his ranking might actually go up. Stars attract more stars so if he becomes a 4 star before he commits, it will look better to other 4 stars out there.

Someone needs to tell Martin that I'm advising him to sign with Iowa. Age is supposed to bring knowledge and wisdom. I'm guessing I'm one of the older posters here so that will probably carry a lot of weight with him. OK, now I'm just rambling.

Uhhhh.... That's huge. Even with him being a home town boy it is going to be difficult keeping him in the state.

Watch him pull a Bob Sanders and take .2 seconds off his 40 time after he gets to college. #ReallyHopeWeGetHim
