Hawkeyes Determined to Stay Together, Finish Strong

I noticed on tv that Barta was on the Iowa sideline, right there with the players around him. I wonder if all Big 10 AD do this? I remember thinking...."does Barta think he's Jerry Jones?"

I've been holding off waiting to get a little distance from the game. I didn't want to sound like a Moo U. fan. Yeah, the officiating was terrible, yes it did cost us the game. There were bad calls on both sides, however. Good for Brian, Barta is a class A POS bureaucrat/administrator.

Most ADs head down to the field in the latter part of the game, sometimes earlier if it's on the road.

I just hope that Brian's head is focused on preparing for the NW game now and not stuck on what happened against Purdue.

Papa Ferentz seems to be better at flushing this stuff and moving on. Let's hope that the team follows that example and shows up ready for NW.

Barta was seen behind our basket in the conference tournament game against Illinois, among other instances.

He was seen waving his arms behind the basket in an attempt to distract his own free throw shooters.

Sad....circling the wagons instead of talking about a possible trip to Indy and beyond.

Well, I'd rather have them circle the wagons instead of lighting them on fire, but that quote of Hesse's just yells "we screwed up and we know it".

Kirk and Brian need to focus on being leaders, rather than crying about losing those tight games (which they plan to have) rather than crying about officials.

Kirk and Brian need to get better at in game coaching, rather than having that 'hit by a stun gun look" when things roll the wrong way.

Kirk and Brian need to demonstrate that they can steal a game or two by out-coaching someone, anyone, rather than being duped and out-coached over and over.

They both seem to have a lot of energy and emotion...let's focus like a laser on being better coaches rather than blaming officials, players, etc. etc.

Come on guys, you have the longest serving college football coach in the country and you are Pinstripe Bowl Champs.

Nebraska is going to be jacked to beat Iowa, better figure it out soon.

Yes, I am pointing fingers, at the coaching leadership and their competencies, they are the professionals and the paid members of the team.

BF wanted Barta to address the poor officiating but Barta apparently passed. Where's Lightning1 when you need him to call Barta "Gutless Gary"?

I'll gladly pick up that pitchfork!

That nutless pile of smarm was prolly irritated that Brian wasn't following, "The Iowa Way."
Doesn't he know we're just l'il ol' Iowa. Doing it Right means Taking it Right; now, bend over!"

After one of the terrible calls I screamed "BULLSHIT" at the screen and my 4 year old did the same. I've never been prouder.

When my one twin boy (smaller one) was in kindergarten they have a Big Buddy program where they would match them up with I think 3rd graders at the time and the kids would get together & do something like read together or something. Anyway, the 3rd grader was flipping him chit or not letting him have something and my little guy choked him.

I don't know what got into him as he has done anything similar since and now they are in 6th grade. Never been so proud.
