Hawkeyes #1 on the current list...

Iowa seems to be on top of the most consecutive bowl loss list in college football.

Edging out by one loss...Central Michigan, Colorado State and a couple others...

Big game for Kirk...probably not...he is untouchable...

I honestly don't think its really a big game for Kirk or Iowa at all. Without looking it up...Who won the pinstripe bowl last year? Did Georgia win their bowl game last year? Did Michigan?

Do bowl games really matter unless they're New years 6 or CFP games?

Bowl games matter if you live in the cold and want to go to a warm place like Florida/Texas/Hawaii...

Bowl games matter if you have your contract connected to Bowl invites or wins...

Bowl games matter to the players, especially if they haven't been around much, and get to go to a warm place to be rewarded for all their hard work...

Bowl games matter to the big money/corporate money people that stoke college football...it is an opportunity to entertain clients and the make up some "continuing education" class near Tampa, etc. etc....so it can be written off.

Bowl games are important since there are, what, 60 of them, and if you aren't invited...you really suck.

Bowls games in Detroit and NY in the cold are meaningless.

With the playoffs in place...the final four is what matters...

If you are a coach who hangs his hat on a big Pinstripe Win...well, you are pretty, well...enough

Bet the players of teams in these bowls disagree. Is it where they wanted to end up? Obviously not. But meaningless is far from how they feel about it. The extra practices are worth it in itself. It's nice to get to play in a warmer climate but we don't get to pick where we play. Playing in a bowl game is a reward to the players no matter the destination. They want to play as many games as possible and represent the Hawks anywhere they can.

Exactly - bowl games are great. You can travel to em. Watch them and see your team perform again. The team gets extra practices. The team gets to grow. If the only games that matter to you every CFB season, unless your an AL fan here lately, every seasons gonna suck for you.

mcubed.net had the list...but as I looked at it again...Iowa was #1...but with only 4 bowl losses in a row...I think, Iowa has 5 in a row at this date...stand to be corrected here...so they would still be #1 but with 5 in a row since no one could supplant them from the year old list...bottom line...even more solid at #1 on the list it seems...

Where's the link to this list? A lot of schools don't go routinely enough to bowl games to lose them consecutively.
Dude, come on. I get it that the OP is being triggering, but there are 37 bowl games not counting the playoff games.

Does this mean in consecutive years or just consecutive losses?

I would guess it means...number of bowl losses in a row...even if a team wasn't invited in a certain year or two...

I am not sure it matters...

When will all this "growth" manifest itself?

It's why KF coached teams look so good at the start of year.....wait. Seriously the "it's extra practices" bs is so old, and proven untrue. When was the last time Iowa, even in years where we return a ton of guys, looked like even a decent team to start the year? I mean I think it's pretty clear how worthless the practices are simply by the bowl results themselves. The bootlickers will never get it.

Wake up at noon in your continuing pissy mood.

How dare you dismiss the glory and pageantry of playing in Yankee Stadium!
