Some badger fans saying barry and Riley are buds and Barry is just doing this to help Riley financially at OSU. Lol. No you don't
Do they think the OSU AD is stupid? I imagine he would be able to spot that bluff a mile away.
You mean the guy who could have taken the bowl ban last year for OSU but chose this year instead?![]()
Sorry. By "OSU" I meant Oregon State.
There have been quite a few schools (with more prestige than Iowa) that have struggled mightily on "proactive" searches. There is a difference in a reactionary coaching search (Wisconson and any program/school where the coach leaves on their own and does not provide notice to the program/school) and a proactive search (where the program/school lets the coach go/fires the coach).
Do I want KF gone? If he doesn't bring things into the 21st century of modern college football; yes. If he does; no. There is something to be said for continuity with a coaching staff (head coach in particular). But continuity at the cost of success is not worth it.

Maybe others have, but I have not suggested that it "must" happen that way at Iowa. And I kind of agree with the sentiment of you won't know unless you try. But I do believe that Iowa will have an extremely difficult challenge when they replace KF (recruiting challenges, meddlesome academia, perception, finanical issues,...)Right. And; therefore, that must happen at Iowa.

What financial issues? And what perception? Don't all colleges have to deal with academia? And to say you can't recruit to Iowa..... please. Iowa is a place that the right coach could bring in top 25 classes regularly.
