Again the Hawks outrebounded the hill toppers 50-33. Such a huge improvement over last year. This was a 3 point duel. WKU shot 14-26 and the Hawks shot 11-25. WKU's Ivy Brown was an outstanding player knocking down 31 points. Thank goodness she fouled out! Megan started really slow but the Hawks finally changed the game plan a little. The Hawks positioned Hannah at the foul line and fed her the ball so she could dump it off to Megan. This is what got them rolling on offense. The defense played stellar for the last couple of minutes in regulation to keep WKU off balance. In the OT the defense kept the pressure up and WKU was rushing their shots and it really affected them. Last year the Hawks would of lost this game. WKU is a very good team and this is another nice win for the Hawks! I just hope Kathleen isn't lost for a long time. Megan's 35 points with 17 rebounds was huge. Great game Hawks!
