Hawk Tix in Demand!

Wish they would just say, "hey you're $400 donation short" and then put a giant "Pay Here" button.
If they did that, a whole lot of people would pay an additional $400 and suddenly the minimum level would be higher and you'd have a whole lot of complaining.

what confuses me is that non season ticket holders feel people would drop an extra $400 to get season tickets at the drop of a hat, but when someone offers their tickets for sale during the season most response won't even pony up face value. if you really want season tickets make the donation now for next year instead if saying you would make the donation only when you have been denied tickets. Seems to be logical if you really want to get the tickets at some point.

Just take the dollars you'd spend and go pay on stub hub a slight premium for the big games and a discount or face on the rest.

Slightly more work, but you don't have to sit next to the same schmuck each week and you get to view from different angles throughout Kinnick. Many times in much better seats than your low priority will get you. Also, You dont have to find a buyer for the games you can't make it to because of your son's piano recital on a saturday morning.

Go Hawk fans! Request for 2 season Tix denied for lack of points. Offered 4 for Directional Mich. & 2 for Purdue.

What a nice problem for the U of I to have. There are a ton of schools that would cheat and steal to have a loyal fan base like Iowa. Two years of 7-5 and there still is a waiting list for season tickets.

I ***** a lot about the football program not living up to the investment but I would never give up my tickets. Go Hawks.

This is why those stories on the web about Ferentz being over-paid are a joke. He makes Iowa's athletic department millions each year. It's not some "laughing to the bank BS" they make it out to be, its the university realizing they have a good thing in place right now and would like to keep it that way.

Aint this the truth. I have a guy by us who starts cussing and swearing at hawk players and coaches in the first qtr of the first non-conf game and he never lets up thru the year.

Luckily sometimes he sits elsewhere and others use his tickets.

Iowa football games have become an event rather than just a football game. Unless Iowa really tanks the next couple of years, I don't see ticket demand decreasing. I'm certain the University will be asking for higher donation levels with the re-seating in 2014. Simple supply and demand. The major downside is squeezing out the rabid fan who can't pony up the donation on top of the seat cost.

Ticket prices have become insane. In 2000 I got into the W.Michigan game for $10 and it came with a hot dog and a pop. In '02 I got Utah State for $28 face. I havent been to a game since '09, the prices are way too high. That with a place to stay, and all the others that come with it like food, drinks, you could blow a almost a grand.

Jeez, why do they seem to have those piano recitals on the Sat. of game days. For years I've figured it was a conspiracy against loyal Hawkeye football fans. But I've never been able to figure out who or what is the driving force behind this conspiracy!! I doubt even Pollard would risk that.
