Hassel - Finebaum

I hope Baylor and Iowa win out and face each other. I think Iowa wins that game and plays for it all.

I just hope right now that Iowa wins out. At that point i will reset my hopes.

Until Iowa strings together a few great seasons or finishes a dream season they will just be Iowa the "nice team."

"I can't fault the schedule that Iowa plays", but yet they're chastised for having a cream puff schedule? Which is it Paul? Look around Finebaum, look at what everyone is scheduling. You and the rest of the country absolutely hate the fact that Iowa is in the midst of the CFP discussion, and has actually turned this whole season upside down for you so-called experts.....We, in Iowa love it, and will continue to use this as fuel as Minnesota, Purdue, and Nebraska become the next 3 victims, and for the next 3 weeks, we will revel in your fact-less blah, blah, blah's regarding the Iowa Hawkeyes.....You can all suck a fatty while sitting in your $hitty diaper doing your radio shows and doing guest appearances on ESPN....

Aren't Kirk Ferentz coached teams like 4-3 against existing SEC teams in Bowl games. I don't know for sure but that might be as good a bowl record against SEC teams as any coach or team in the country. I don't think Kirk Ferentz is paying much attention to all this SEC hype. He certainly hasn't been afraid to take the field against them in the past.

This is the first time I have ever listened to Finebaum. I didn't think he was that big of an idiot (at least in this segment with Hassel). He said several times that the facts supported Hassel, that what Iowa has done to date is better than Baylor. He said he just feel Baylor is better.

So, instead of trying to find every snippet of Hawkeye hatred from the ESPN talking heads, I'm just going to savor in the fact that it's November and we're legitimately in the CFP picture. We're not going to get respect until we have some consistent success and it's just as simple as that. A lot of people think this is a fluke and quite frankly, I don't blame 'em. We haven't been a scary team since 09-10'. Nobody would have a problem talking about Wisconsin if they were in our shoes, that's because they've played in big games the last few years.
Unless we chit the bed, we're in the Rose Bowl, and that's the realness. Who cares what these bunch of Larry's say. This could to be the most memorable season in Hawkeye football history.

Totally agree....I will choose to not watch anything that gets me so ****** off. Now if the players wanna TIVO it and play it before every game, KF may never have to give another pre-game motivaional talk. GO HAWKS and Stay thirsty my friends!

I used to listen to Paul Finebaum's radio show on Serius/XM when I was traveling. I liked the show, & found him to be reasonable in his opinions. He made no secret that he is an Alabama guy even though he is a Tennessee grad. The show was broadcast from Birmingham, Alabama. I don't care about his opinion of Iowa, he just thinks Iowa isn't very good. He used Danny Sheridan's Vegas odds to back up his opinion. Danny was a regular on his show & they are good friends. My beef with Paul was Tuesday night when asked about Iowa jumping 4 spots to #5. The first thing he mentioned was the beat down Tennessee gave Iowa last season in the Tax Slayer Bowl. Paul didn't use that logic after the first CFP poll came out when some questioned one loss Alabama deserving the #4 spot. He didn't say that Ohio State's 42-35 win over Alabama in last years first college football playoff disqualified them for the #4 spot. He loves to bring up how many national championships the SEC/Alabama have won the last 10 years, & he just doesn't have any respect for the Big Ten. It is just that simple in my opinion.

Even though it was a lighthearted segment, it was good to see hassel calling out that dork fiebaum with facts. Love the part where hassel reminded him he only mentioned the two weakest out of conference teams and conveniently left out Pitt. Well done hassel!

It literally is us against the world. Everyone wants the Hawks to lose. Here is to being a wrench in the machine and winning it all.

Seriously, where does SECPN come up with these nerds? The tool looks completely like an accountant, and I'm very sorry to any CPA's on this board!

He and Jon Clay, where do they come from. Can you get any more unathletic looking guys? Then that chick (from yesterday) who writes for them is completely clueless. I can't relate to any of their staff anymore. f'ing hacks.

Not too mention the fact that in almost All cases, Iowa was playing "up" significantly. Too lazy to look, but it sure seems like Iowa gets a lot of significantly higher ranked teams in their bowl matchups...and does pretty dang well (last year being a pretty bad exception)

Since when do mice speak English?
